Sleep Gravity

A game we made with ❤  and 💧 for IGSI game jam 2022.

Sleep Gravity is a platform side-scroller game that lets you run towards your dreams before your opponents. Survive from your opponents and hinder their dream by spawning obstacles in front of them.

DREAMY WORLD

Sleepwalking is very common. But running while asleep is only here, in this dreamy world. A world just for people like you and I will run to make our dream come into reality. This world is designed with an upside and downside platform filled with funny creatures. All characters will constantly move from the start line (left side) towards the finish line (right side) without you controlling it.

SMASH YOUR CARD

Support your sleeping character enjoy his/her delightful dreams using your in-hand cards. You could even make your foes suffer from bitter nightmares using your cards also. There are several types of cards in the game:

A. Object Cards (Green Colored)

     Cards to spawn objects over the platform arena. Any player's character who collides with will be affected.

1. Wall Card, to spawn Wall
2. TNT Card, to spawn TNT (can break the wall or stun the opponent)
3. Boulder Card, to spawn rolling boulder backward (can break the wall or stun the opponent)
4. Treadmill Card, To spawn a speed booster that speeds up the character when walking over it
5. Spring Plate Card, to spawn jumping plate
6. Portal Card, to change gravity vertically opposite

B. Weather Cards  (Orange Colored)

     Cards to make changes over the environment to the game itself and cannot be destroyed by an object but it can be changed every time.

1. Normal Card, change the weather into normal.
2. Windy Forward Card, change the weather into windy. (lower gravity, higher speed)
3. Windy Backward Card,  change the weather into windy. (lower gravity, lower speed)
4. Rainy Card, change the weather into rainy. (higher jump, lower speed)
5. Snowy Card, change the weather into snowy. (higher speed, lower jump)

C. Editing Cards  (Blue Colored)

     Cards to make changes over the selected spawned object.

1. Remove Card, to remove an object.
2. Toggle Gravity Card, to toggle gravity an object.
3. Copy Card, to copy an object that instantiates a new card of it.

MYSTERY BOX

This box is quite suspicious, each player should wary about this box. This box has a chance not resulting in a bonus card in hand, but apparently, a nice punch to make your sleeping character being stunned afterward. So don't regret it after being hit so much just for being selfish to get all the mystery boxes.
